Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993 and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely recognized with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants, and has been the winner of many honors international and national levels. She has worked with a variety of government agencies and institutions across the world on research and policies relating to children who have been victims of the legal system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
